Thanks so much for the visit. Beautiful gallery you have, by the way. I love your style of coloring!

Most definately. If most animators don't have degrees, and you need a degree to teach at Sheridan, you're more likely to specialize in fine arts than in animation, so in the end you'd be less qualified to teach it. Of course, Sheridan likes to be able to charge an obsene amount of money, so I guess it all works out for them.
When it comes to animation, I think degrees are useless. But Sheridan college doesnt' see it that way. I think they are making their animation program weaker there by only hiring profs.
St Clair's in Windsor Ontario. The program's price has risen a bit too, but I was lucky enough to get in before it started to go up in price. It's only for three years, and you get a diploma out of it. Do you get a degree if you're in a four year program?

Yeah the teachers get lots of blame at my school too. Our tuitions starts at 6,500 for first year and now it is at 8,500 for 4th year! Dont ask me how I afford it. I'm in big debt. It has a 3 year animations basics program (but 1st year is more a general arts year) and for the first time this year it will have a 4th year post-grad in CG animation. Where is St. Clair by the way?
St Clair's not too bad. The teachers have been laid back in the past to a point; you can get away with coasting, but you might as well take $5000 each year and flush it down the toilet, because that's what you're doing. Those of us that worked our butts off got stuff done, but a lot of people just laid back and blamed the teachers when the work wasn't finished.
Hi,
St Clair eh? Max the Mutt is is really good school in my opinion, but it is not laid back. You have to work your butt off in order to make it through. You have to meet requirements that at times seem unreasonable.
I don't have digital cable either. It sucks not to be able to see your stuff on TV, eh?
I went to St Clair College, I just graduated this year. I may attend some more school, unless I manage to land a job in the near future. I've done a little freelance work, but that's it. How is Max The Mutt Animation School?
Hey,
Saw you on the BiteTV website. Their gonna play my animaiton there too supposedly. I don't have digital cable so I'll never know. What schoold did you go to? Did you ever finish? I've graduated, but am retruning to Max The Mutt ANimation School in Toronto.
That's exactly how my class went. Everybody complained about the assignments taking away from the films, so we only had a few big assignments and test all semester, and then when everybody did real bad on the MEL test (excpet me and two others becaues we're awesome. well, i am anyway. stop laughing.) the teachers were all irritated. Actually there was a lot of teacher-student irritation. School makes people angry.
